assessment and accountability

The Department of Assessment and Accountability administers state and local testing, safeguards student data, and delivers the reporting that teachers, campus administrators, and district leadership use to make instructional decisions.

Key Measures of Success

The outcomes this department holds itself accountable to each year.

Assessment Operations

Every state and local assessment is administered on schedule, under secure testing conditions, and in full compliance with TEA requirements.

Accountability Performance

Campuses receive accurate rating projections, clear analysis, and hands on support so they can meet or exceed their annual performance targets.

Data Quality & Integrity

Assessment, accountability, and performance data stay accurate, complete, and current, so stakeholders can trust the numbers behind every decision.

Research & Program Evaluation

Program evaluations and research studies give district leaders practical recommendations for improving student outcomes and Academic Return on Investment (AROI).

Performance Reporting

Reports, dashboards, and presentations arrive on time and in plain language for the Board, district leadership, and campus administrators.

Assessment Literacy

Training, coaching, and technical assistance build the capacity of district and campus leaders to read their data and act on it with confidence.

Operational Excellence

State and federal reports, accountability submissions, research requests, and testing documentation are completed accurately and on schedule, with no significant audit findings.

Leadership & Organizational Capacity

Coaching, professional development, and strong internal systems sustain a skilled team and faster, more consistent service to campuses.
