📚 La Joya ISD Welcomes Texas Commissioner of Education Mike Morath! Today, we had the honor of hosting a visit from the Texas Education Agency (TEA), led by Commissioner Mike Morath, as they toured Enrique Camarena Elementary and Juan De Dios Salinas Middle School. 💡During the visit, Commissioner Morath observed various mathematics classrooms to see the implementation of the new Carnegie and Eureka curriculum. He explored how these programs are being incorporated into lesson planning and instruction. Commissioner Morath, along with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Marcey Sorensen, Board President Julian Alvarez III, and district leaders, witnessed our dedicated teachers leading dynamic classrooms, engaging students, and bringing this powerful curriculum to life.
