Vision Statement La Joya ISD staff is dedicated to using technology to innovate teaching and learning practices by integrating digital tools to inspire students to thrive in a global society through collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.
Goals La Joya Independent School District encourages the use of technology as one way of enhancing the mission to prepare and inspire students for lifelong success by teaching the skills, knowledge, and behaviors students will need as responsible citizens in the global community. As 21st Century learners, students learn collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking as well as problem solving in a variety of ways throughout the school day. In an effort to increase access to those 21st Century skills, La Joya ISD has made it a goal to offer students accessibility to their learning through “TECHi3” – Technology to Inspire, Integrate and Innovate. The individual use of technology is a way to empower students to maximize their full potential and to prepare them for college and careers.
Outcomes of TECHi3 are to:

Promote collaboration and student engagement
Strengthen 21st Century skills necessary for future success
Have access to relevant technologies, tools, resources, and services for individualized instruction
Use information and communication technologies to collaborate, construct knowledge and provide solutions to real world problems and situations that are encountered
Use research-based strategies in all subject areas to improve academic achievement
Communicate effectively in a variety of formats for diverse audiences
