The Dr. Javier Saenz Middle School Mariachi, led by Mr. Rogelio Escobedo, made history by competing in their very first UIL competition—and they did so in spectacular fashion. The talented young musicians earned a perfect Division I rating from all judges, a remarkable achievement for their debut performance. Their dedication, skill, and passion for mariachi music shone through, impressing the judges and setting a high standard for future competitions. Mr. Escobedo and his students are proud of their hard work and excited for what’s to come. Congratulations to the Saenz Middle School Mariachi on this outstanding accomplishment!
