Mrs. Salinas’ 1st-grade class at William J. Clinton Elementary had an exciting visitor! Mrs. Zuniga, our district’s Bilingual and Migrant Director, stopped by to share a wonderful read-aloud story. The visit was part of a special effort to promote the love and joy of reading, showing students how books can come to life and inspire imagination.
Mrs. Zuniga captivated the young audience with her expressive reading, bringing the characters and story to life. The students were fully engaged, laughing at funny moments and listening closely to every word. After the story, she encouraged the students to keep reading, one page at a time, and to explore new adventures through books.
“Reading is a way to open doors to endless possibilities,” Mrs. Zuniga told the students. “Every book you read is a new adventure waiting to be discovered.”
The visit was a memorable celebration of literacy, reminding students how fun and rewarding reading can be. Mrs. Salinas and her class thanked Mrs. Zuniga for taking the time to inspire the next generation of readers. Events like these help foster a lifelong love of books, one story at a time!
