Several students and classrooms took home top honors at the recent La Joya ISD Area I District Science Fair.
Mrs. B. Cantu’s Pre-K class project, “Hojas Fantasticas”, took home first place in Pre-K collections and also earned Grand Champion in the collections division.
Tabasco had several other winners at the district meet, as follows: Pre-K, Physical Science 2nd Place – S. Angulo-Jang’s class “On The Road Again”; Kinder, Physical Science 2nd Place – J. Arguijo’s Class “Trash & Recycling”; 1st Grade, Life Science 3rd Place – Renata Mata “Tree’s Life”; 1st Grade, Life Science 1st Place – Jared Vasquez, “Bones: Clubfoot”; 1st Grade, Earth Science 3rd Place – Lucy Moreno “Earthquakes”; 1st Grade, Earth Science 2nd Place – Dariel Hinojosa “Energia Renovable”; 2nd Grade Physical Science 2nd Place – Sofia Hinojosa “The Conductor Game”; 4th Grade Physical Science 3rd Place – Camila Gonzalez “Penny Vs. Liquid”. Tabasco is extremely proud of all students and their families who put such impressive effort and creativity into their science fair projects!
