Tabasco Elementary is always eager to highlight the efforts and successes of our students outside of school, and recently we have one of our own ready to compete alongside the “big kids” from down the street.
Congratulations to our third-grade student Melanie Ramirez for placing second while competing with her calf among La Joya High School FFA students at Citrus Valley FFA District Competition recently. You have truly shown that you can compete in the big leagues.
Melanie previously earned second place with her calf Reserve Breed Grand Champion in FFA competition recently at the McAllen FFA Cowboy Classic event.
Melanie competing with high school students and coming away successful as she did at this level of competition is an honor and achievement.
Tabasco Elementary students and staff are all proud of you, Melanie. We hope that you choose to continue your FFA journey throughout your school years and you community is here to support you any way it can.
