This past week La Joya High School FCCLA competed at Region V competition in Corpus Christi, Tx.
Six students competed in the following categories: Jimena Alanis (Culinary Arts), Carolina Gonzalez (Culinary Math), Deeandra Ramos (Texas Cupcake Presentation), Nahomi Escamilla (Texas Cupcake Presentation), Julia Murillo & Maggie Villegas (Sustainability Challenge).
We would like to recognize all their hard work, dedication and the countless hours that were put in. Five out of the six students placed and will be advancing to FCCLA State competition in Dallas, Tx. Jimena Alanis competed in Culinary Arts and was competing against 35 other competitors and placed 4th overall. Deeandra Ramos competed in Texas Cupcake Presentation and was up against 36 other competitors and placed 3rd overall. Carolina Gonzalez placed 3rd place in Culinary Math while Julia Murillo and Maggie Villegas placed 5th Sustainability Challenge. Congratulations La Joya HS FCCLA
