February is "I Love to Read Month," a wonderful time to celebrate the joy of reading and foster a love for books within our communities, especially among children and families. Huge congratulations to the 8th Grade Dark Team on an outstanding performance!🎉🎉🏀🏀 After a hard-fought victory over De Leon Middle School, the team advanced to the championship game against Memorial Middle School. It was a thrilling, well-played contest, but we came up just short, earning a well-deserved 2nd place in the Division 2 Tournament. This game was a true display of skill and determination, and it’s clear that the future of La Joya ISD basketball is in great hands. The Coyotes’ future is bright—keep pushing forward!

Congratulations to the Lorenzo De Zavala Middle School 8th Grade Coyotes! The Dark Team dominated with a 53-18 victory over Liberty Middle School, delivering a strong team performance.
