On October 7, 2024, JFK Elementary kicked off its Antibullying Week with the World Day of Bullying Prevention. Students, staff, and the broader community united to raise awareness about bullying and foster a culture of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
Led by school counselor Mrs. Gracie Galvez, the initiative is aimed at educating students on the importance of standing up against bullying while promoting empathy and respect. Throughout the week, JFK Elementary will host various activities designed to strengthen the values of tolerance and mutual respect.
"Together, we can create a safe and supportive environment for all," Mrs. Galvez said, encouraging participation from all members of the community.
The event is part of JFK Elementary’s ongoing commitment to its Legacy of Excellence and is supported by La Joya ISD.
