Mrs. Tamez’ 2nd grade students are celebrating and enjoying a pizza party for having perfect attendance. These students are the first class to complete the word CAVAZOS in the school. A big Thank You to the parents for encouraging your child to come to school everyday!

As Halloween quickly approaches, Mrs. Bermea’s class worked on an activity of “guessing” what will your teacher dress up for Halloween. She provided clues that the students used to help make a decision. They practiced using their listening skills and brainstormed as a group to make their final decision of what their teacher is going to be for Halloween. Let's wait and see if anyone has the correct guess.

🎤 Today, 3rd grade students from Mrs. Quintanilla’s class used the QBALL speaker to read aloud Gigi and the Wishing Ring. They had so much fun bringing the characters to life! 📚✨ It made the story even more engaging for everyone.

Mrs. Gonzalez’s fifth-grade students got to explore the exciting world of electrical circuits! 🔋💡 With creativity and curiosity, they worked together to build simple circuits, learning how electricity flows and how different components connect.

What an exciting day at Cavazos! Today, our amazing students took part in the Student Council Campaign, delivered inspiring speeches, and cast their votes for the next leaders of our school! 🌟 Our candidates worked hard to share their ideas, visions, and plans to make Cavazos Elementary an even better place for everyone. Mrs. M. Peña’s Fifth Grade Class attended Golf Classes at the Howling Trails Golf Course. The students were given information about choosing golf as an elective class in Middle and High School. They also got to practice different golf movements. The class really enjoyed the experience.

Mrs. Villarreal’s 5th grade students visited the La Joya ISD Sports and Learning Complex where they learned the fundamentals of golf. Students really enjoyed being on the golf course and learning how to play this amazing sport.

⏰Friendly Reminder! NO CLASSES! Students and staff will be off on Friday, October 11th, and on Monday, October 14 for Fall Holiday, and Bad Weather Day. Classes and La Joya ISD offices will resume on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
